Children's Day for Parental Rights in Washington DC (Nov 20)

Parental rights supporters will hold a rally in Washington tomorrow, November 20, 2009. Since the United Nations has declared November 20th as "Universal Children's Day" they figured this would be the best day to send our message that we want to protect children by empowering their parents.

The rally will begin at 11:00am and will be held on the U.S. Capitol grounds (House side on the East Lawn, in front of the Library of Congress and on the Independence side of Cannon HOB.) Speakers include U.S. Representative Peter Hoekstra (MI), J. Michael Smith, President, Home School Legal Defense Association, Steven Groves, Bernard and Barbara Lomas Fellow, The Heritage Foundation among many others.

Mike Farris to appear on Huckabee Sat November 7 at 8pm EST

I have been alerted that Mike Farris of parentalrights.org will appear tomorrow, Saturday November 7 at 8:00pm on the Huckabee Show which airs on the Fox News Channel. He will be discussing two cases that are currently before the Supreme Court in which briefs have been submitted by Amnesty International and other organizations that urge the court to apply the UNCRC to these cases even though this treaty has not yet been ratified in this country. The way the court rules in this case could greatly impact the parental rights we hold so dear. Please tune into Huckabee this weekend to see what Mike Farris has to say on the issue. If you miss it on Saturday I believe it re-airs sometime on Sunday. Check the Fox News channel listing in your area for more details.
